This project was a complete bedroom transformation centered on creating a space that celebrates childhood without sacrificing longevity. The design draws inspiration from the client's interests in Pokemon, gaming, exploration, nature, and collecting, translating those passions into a refined, contemporary environment that feels personal rather than overtly themed. The goal was to create a room that would feel just as relevant years from now with only minimal updates.

The scope included space planning, furniture layout, storage optimization, lighting design, material and finish selection, styling, artwork curation, and sourcing. Working within the constraints of an older home with a compact footprint, every design decision was made to maximize functionality while maintaining a clean, open aesthetic. Multifunctional furnishings and vertical storage solutions were carefully selected to support everyday living without overwhelming the space.

A defining element of the project was balancing the client's imagination with the parents' long-term vision for the room. Rather than relying on novelty décor, inspiration was drawn from the rich colors, textures, and visual energy found throughout the client's favorite interests. Deep blue walls inspired by the iconic wings of Charizard establish the room's dramatic foundation, while warm walnut finishes, matte black accents, layered textiles, and curated artwork create a cohesive palette that feels elevated and timeless. Thoughtfully integrated gaming and collectible displays personalize the space while remaining intentional within the overall design.

The finished room provides distinct areas for sleeping, gaming, reading, collecting, and daily routines, proving that a child's bedroom can be imaginative, highly functional, and thoughtfully designed. The result is a modern space that reflects the client's personality today while offering the flexibility to evolve naturally as he grows.
