Carter Project
CLIENT GOALS
Here’s a quick recap of the goals we discussed for your space — what you want it to feel like, how you plan to use it, and the overall vibe we’re aiming for. Take a moment to review and let me know if there’s anything you’d like to add or adjust!
MOOD BOARD
This board gives you a first look at the overall mood, colors, textures, and inspiration behind your design. It’s meant to capture the feeling of your space before we dive into specific pieces. Love it? Not feeling something? Feel free to share your thoughts by text or email.
MATERIAL PALETTE
Here’s a collection of colors, fabrics, finishes, and textures for your project. This helps set the tone and visual foundation for everything.
INITIAL SELECTIONS
These are a few handpicked pieces to test out which style direction you’re feeling most connected to. They give us a starting point to see what makes you say “yes, that’s it!” or “let’s try something else.” Take a look at the shapes, colors, patterns, etc. and let me know what you love, like or dislike about these pieces.

CONCEPT
Warm Modern Vibe with Rich and Earthy Textures + Tones
Defined Entry Moment: I created a visual entry point into your living room by adding a small console table for storage, paired with a raised wood feature wall wrapped in black grass cloth. It adds texture and depth and gives us the perfect spot to display your artwork with a picture light above for a gallery-like feel.
I’ve shown two different console options. One shorter with a more clean, modern design and the other taller with a rounded silhouette.
• Color Palette: The design keeps a cohesive and elevated palette—black, cream, browns, and rich greens—with small touches of marble to bring in a luxe, layered vibe.
• Lighting Options: I’ve selected two different lighting styles near the sofa area. Take a look and let me know which one you’re drawn to most—they each bring a slightly different energy to the space.
• Art Direction: I’ve proposed two approaches for the artwork above your sofa:
• A single large abstract piece that makes a bold statement
• Or a pair of smaller abstract or photographic pieces, possibly even incorporating your own DIY artwork since I know you love being creative.
Let me know what you think of this direction and if anything feels off or needs adjusting. Your feedback will help shape the final layout and selections!
